What the Heart Does NOT Desire

I was taking a pause from work today to scroll Instagram, because that's what we do, and came across so much cute Valentine's Day decorations that all my fellow home décor accounts were publishing.

First up - like I said, CUTE!

Second up - this made me pause and remember, oh ya, I have some Valentine's Day décor too.

And this led to the BUT

I have it BUT...

I have some of the holiday décor, but my gosh I completely do not feel into decorating with it this year. And this got me thinking back to my whole true purpose of why I do décor projects, whether they're furniture flips or room makeovers, or even just new shelf displays - I do them to make me happy, make me feel at home, help you feel at home in your space. And right now, I am very comfortable and happy with my home (besides maybe the kitchen countertops).

So thank you to all my fellow designers that have taken the time to refresh parts of your house and show it off - I enjoy seeing it all, but I'm skipping on it this year (unless I can snag a Vintage Pelican pillow). XOXO
